Meet the Inspiration Behind UKIES

Kavita Khaitan UKIES Comfort Shoes Creative DirectorAs women, we’ve all struggled with the uncomfortable heel-slipping, foot-sweating and painful aching that comes from a day’s worth of walking in our favorite heels. But thanks to Kavita Khaitan, we no longer have to worry about going any further in painful high heels.

Back in 2013, Kavita, the inspiration and soul of UKIES, decided that it was time to give women the answer they’d been seeking for generations—a stylish shoe that combined the sexiness and sophistication of high heels with all-day, ultra-comfort. She and her husband Umesh set out to create a technologically-advanced heel to satisfy the needs of professional, working women.

“I wanted to create a shoe to help women find inspiration with each step they make in their career or walking down the street,” said Kavita. “I envision UKIES empowering women so that they can turn their dreams into reality. One way to do that is to help them take strides in confidence. When we look good, we feel good—and in turn, are able to perform our best.”

Upon meeting Kavita for the first time, it is easy to see her passion for helping others succeed in her warm smile. She has a huge heart and a determination that will light fire to any path she decides to take. There is no doubt that her compassion plays a pivotal role in creating the most comfortable heels in the world.

“UKIES is my way to give back to women—the ones who have generously and selflessly sacrificed to help others find success,” said Kavita. “Mothers and daughters, women in business, law, medicine—every woman deserves to feel beautiful and confident. Every day, women sacrifice so much to give to others. It’s time that comfort is no longer one of those things.”

At UKIES, women are guaranteed stylish shoes that combine innovative, patented nanoGel® technology with striking silhouettes to help them stand tall in confidence and put their best foot forward.

My whole life I have struggled wearing high heels. I have wide feet and the minute I used to put on high heels, my feet would start to ache and immediately swell. So when I was introduced to UKIES by my daughter and I fell in love with the product, it was like a dream come true. I even rode a bike in my UKIES the other day. So yes, I am excited that in UKIES I found the comfort I’ve been searching forever. I can now wear heels with confidence, comfort, style and without fear. Thank You from the bottom of my heart Kavita!!!
